a better example of a "one ad wonder" you will not find.

(click ad to read)
French ad for Yoba erotic toys—it's a masturbating ad! Kudos to the creative team for eschewing the lame double entendre headlines that pollute this category. Boodos to them for not pushing their decent one joke idea further and turning the concept into an excellent campaign. Instead, they just got two more colorfully-dressed women and repeated the same camera trick (see all three ads here). The second & third ads add nothing, and are a complete waste of the client's money. This hemp store ad is still the best "vibrating" one I've ever seen. related: Gilbert Gottfried would be an excellent SpokesPerv for the Fleshlight male sex toy.

At least she seems to be enjoying the product a little bit more than the other two lasses appear to be.

That would be my only critique of this otherwise brilliant idea - the product it's advertising doesn't appear to be delivering much...ummm...excitement. Otherwise, it's pretty damn good.

Just not feeling it as much as you.
Looks more 'blurry shot' than 'vibrating' to me.

daddy-o: so you'd like more "O" face...I don't knw, I think the pictured woman's expression is perfect.
ppp: yeah, the technique is off a little. And I got a little maybe too excited by the lack of copy.

My first thought was that it was a problem with the viewer's vision as a result of masturbation (because touching yourself makes you go blind -- logical?). I never even considered that she was supposed to be literally vibrating.

maybe it'd seem less "blurry photo" if there was a still backdrop behind her? i dunno, that'd probably look cheesy too.

jayhawker: no, I don't think it's supposed to be her vibrating, it's just the ad vibrating——ya know, conceptual not literal.

I missed it until I read the comments here.

It just looked blurry. Either I'm not smart enough or it's too subtle. Or both.

Let me put it this way: If Bruce Dickinson were art-directing this shoot, he'd say, "I got a fever. And the only cure...is more 'o face'!"

I like the idea. Don't like the art direction. Though I think it was cool they didn't go all vampy blood rood over the top leopard print, the color scheme and the styling of the model they choose make it look like a pharma ad or a tampon commercial. Doesn't make me feel like I'd get off using their product. (And isn't that what it's all about?)

Looks like a color version of a Gerhard Richter painting.
